Convenient and Simple

Within 48 hours of completing your radiology scan, I-MED will notify you when your images are ready to view on your mobile phone.

This will enable better control of your medical records and the freedom to access them as needed. It will save you time when planning your medical care with other health practitioners as you will not need to contact your local I-MED clinic to request a copy.

It is also a more environmentally friendly approach as it eliminates the need to print film and paper reports.

How does it work?

I-MED has made accessing your images and reports safe, secure and simple. Within 48 hours after your scan:

  1. I-MED will send you a link via text message notifying you that your images are available
  2. When you click this link, you need to follow the security steps, and will be asked to enter your birthdate
  3. I-MED will then send a text message with a one-time password
  4. Enter this password to unlock your access
  5. The menu page will now appear, and you will be able to view your images, and download or share your results with friends or other practitioners
  6. If you need help you can refer to the FAQ’s

Please note, your report will be available to view 5 days after it has been sent to your referring doctor. Make sure you schedule a follow-up appointment with them during this time to discuss your results.

Important

  • I-MED will need to have your correct mobile number and date of birth entered in the system for you to access your images and report with this system. Please check with your local I-MED clinic to confirm that this information is recorded accurately.
  • The practitioner who originally requested your scan will automatically receive a copy of your results as a formal written report. This may take a few days to finalise. It is expected that you will return to this practitioner in the days following your scan to have your results explained and the next steps of your medical care outlined.
  • The SMS notification from I-MED stating that your images are ready to view does not mean that your doctor has received the final report. Please arrange a follow-up appointment with your referring doctor once they have confirmed receipt of your results.

What happens after my scan? keyboard_arrow_down

Within 48 hours after your scan, you will be sent a text message to notify you that your images are available, and it will include a link to view them.

What do I do when I get the text message? keyboard_arrow_down

You can view your images by clicking the link in the text message.

We’ve added additional security features, to ensure that your medical information is only accessed by you. So, once you have clicked on the link, you will be asked to:

  1. Enter your date of birth (this will be the date of birth that we currently have in your patient file, so make sure we have your accurate information).
  2. Verify you are the patient in question through the use of a one-time-password.

Note: This password will be sent to your mobile number (the mobile number that we currently have in your patient file) for you to enter and validate your identity.

If you receive an error message, please contact the clinic where you had your appointment, to make sure your date of birth is accurate.

If changes need to be made to your date of birth in the system, please be patient as it may take some time for the data to synchronise and for your updated date of birth to be reflected.

You need to be in an area with suitable mobile coverage in order to receive the one-time password.

Make sure to wait a reasonable amount of time before requesting the resend of the one-time password.
