About Dr Peter Wilson

Dr Peter Wilson is a Level A certified CTCA specialist with over thirty year’s radiology experience. His specialisations include Musculoskeletal imaging and intervention, Cardiac CT and imaging guided biopsies and injections.

Dr Peter Wilson joined the I-MED Radiology in 2001 following an extensive and international career in radiology.

Dr Wilson has over thirty years radiology experience and practices from I-MED Clinics on the Northern Beaches. His previous appointments have included three years teaching body imaging as an Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester, NY and clinical lecturer at the University and Sydney as well as serving as the Honorary Secretary of the Royal Australiasian College of Radiologists. Upon returning to Sydney, Dr Wilson worked in private practice on the Northern Beaches where he worked as a principle partner in the Pittwater Radiology Partnership, developing radiology clinics within Dee Why; including the I-MED Dee Why clinic.

Dr Wilson has extensive experience in MRI, and a special interest in MSK imaging and interventions, including CT and ultrasound guided musculoskeletal injections and biopsies. In addition to this, he possesses an in-depth knowledge of women’s imaging, oncology imaging and intervention. He has extensively trained in Cardiac CT, and currently supervises the CT coronary angiography service at the Dee Why clinic. Dr Wilson is an expert in CT imaging of diffuse lung disease, and has been principle investigator in an extensive research program into the use of Artificial Intelligence in this field.

Dr Wilson is a fellow and Life-Member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
