Dr Jeyprada Deenadayaalu

FRANZCR

Dr. Jeyprada Deenadayaalu is a Radiologist with over 15 years of experience, with a special interest in women’s imaging and breast imaging. She has been practising in the Cairns region for over 5 years, providing comprehensive breast imaging services for patients across Far North Queensland.

Dr. Deenadayaalu is highly experienced in all aspects of breast imaging, including Mammography, Ultrasound, Breast MRI, image-guided biopsies, and both wire and non-wire localisations. She also provides MRI-guided breast biopsies, a highly specialised and niche service that improves access to advanced breast care for women in Far North Queensland.

She holds the rare distinction of receiving twin honours for excellence in radiology training, the Gold Award from the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) and the Peh Eng Teck Memorial Medal and Prize from the National University of Singapore, awarded following the successful completion of the joint FRCR and Master of Medicine (Diagnostic Radiology) examinations.

Dr Andy Pun

Dr Andy Pun obtained his medical degree from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2010. He has worked and trained in the public sector in New Zealand before completing Radiology training in 2021. Dr Pun completed a hybrid Musculoskeletal and general Radiology Fellowship training in 2022 at I-MED Radiology Hobart and has since relocated to I-MED Radiology Queensland and is based in Cairns. Dr Pun has interest and skills in Musculoskeletal Radiology.

Does I-MED Radiology Cairns do ultrasound and bone density scans?

Yes, I-MED Radiology Cairns offers ultrasound and bone density (DEXA) scans, along with X-ray, mammogram, MRI, CT and dental X-ray (OPG). It also performs arthrograms, interventional procedures and CT Lung Ventilation Analysis Software (CTLVAS) scans. Radiologist Dr Jeyprada Deenadayaalu has a special interest in women's and breast imaging, and Dr Andy Pun has an interest in musculoskeletal radiology.

I-MED Radiology Cairns is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with MRI available from 7am, and is closed on public holidays. The clinic accepts walk-ins for general X-ray and most diagnostic CT, subject to any preparation your scan needs. Bring your referral or request form, as no X-ray examination can be performed without it. You may have a short wait, depending on how many people are waiting and the priority of urgent cases.
