About Dr Ronald Shnier

Dr Shnier is a Non-Executive Director of I-MED Radiology Network, having previously served as Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director.

 Dr Shnier completed his radiology training with fellowships at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, followed by subspecialty fellowships in neuroradiology and musculoskeletal imaging, including at the University of California Los Angeles. He was a consultant radiologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital from 1990 to 1993 before joining the Sydney Imaging Group, where he established one of Australia’s first private MRI practices.

Dr Shnier has held senior leadership roles across the diagnostic imaging sector, including as General Manager of Mayne Diagnostic Imaging in 2007 and subsequently as its National Director for many years. He is currently President of the Australian Diagnostic Imaging Association.

 He has served on several international MRI advisory boards and maintains an active involvement in clinical research, with extensive lecturing experience both in Australia and internationally. Dr Shnier has a strong interest in the adoption and implementation of emerging imaging technologies and biotechnology, and currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Vectus Biosystems and Lumitron.
