I-MED Radiology expands clinician led network through acquisition of Radiology Group

Sydney, Australia – 20, February 2026 – I-MED Radiology (I-MED), Australia & New Zealand’s largest combined medical imaging network is pleased to announce it has agreed to acquire the business of Radiology Group.
Radiology Group is an established independent doctor partnership in New South Wales, with clinics across Greater Western Sydney and the Hunter Region.
The acquisition represents a highly complementary opportunity to bring together Radiology Group’s respected clinical operations with I‑MED’s national scale, extensive digital capability and long‑standing commitment to clinical excellence.
I-MED Radiology Network CEO, Dr Shrey Viranna, said: “Radiology Group is a highly respected practice with a strong clinical culture and an excellent reputation for patient care. This acquisition aligns with our clinician-led model and our commitment to investing in people, technology, and facilities to support high-quality outcomes.
The transaction strengthens our ability to continue investing meaningfully while supporting clinicians to treat patients at the highest standard.”
The existing Radiology Group footprint of clinics will benefit from I-MED’s scale infrastructure, and suite of advanced digital tools that support clinicians, operational teams, and broader service delivery.
These platforms are designed to enhance clinical workflows, support services, and patient outcomes, while enabling continued innovation across the network. I‑MED’s scale provides meaningful advantages in technology investment, operational efficiency and sustained clinical quality, benefits which will further enhance Radiology Group’s ability to deliver high‑quality services to patients and referrers.
Supported by the previous ownership group, I‑MED intends to undertake a targeted expansion of PET and MRI services across Western Sydney and the Hunter region. This initiative will enhance the availability of advanced diagnostic imaging, improve service accessibility for patients, and strengthen the clinical capabilities of the combined network to meet growing demand.
“We’re delighted to welcome Radiology Group and its doctor cohort to I-MED. Their decision to join our network reflects a shared belief in the power of collaboration, supported by strong digital capability, meaningful clinical insights and the opportunity to grow within a connected business that respects and preserves clinical autonomy. It also speaks to why many doctors see I-MED as a compelling place to practise,” Dr Viranna concluded.
The acquisition is a continuation of I-MED’s successful track record of disciplined inorganic capital deployment targeting high quality assets across ANZ and builds on I-MED’s network scale, generating over $1.45B of revenue in the most recent financial year.
