I-MED Radiology Network appoints experienced healthcare executive Zita Peach as Chair

I-MED Radiology Network (“I-MED”), Australia’s leading medical imaging provider, today announces the appointment of Zita Peach as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Board, effective 17 May 2026.

Ms Peach succeeds George Savvides AM, who is stepping down as part of a planned transition toward retirement and a gradual reduction in his board commitments, having served as Chair since September 2022. Mr Savvides will remain on the Board for a transition period to ensure continuity of leadership and governance.

The appointment follows a diligent, Board-led selection process and reflects I-MED’s continued focus on maintaining its strong governance framework and clinical leadership to underpin the company’s next phase of growth.

Ms Peach is an experienced Non-Executive Director with more than 40 years’ experience across global healthcare sectors. She currently serves on the boards of ASX-listed Monash IVF Group, Icon Group, Nucleus Network, VetPartners and is Chair of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute.

Her executive career also includes senior roles at Fresenius Kabi, CSL Limited and Merck Sharp & Dohme, where she built deep expertise in scaling businesses, international expansion and complex transactions.

Commenting on her appointment, Zita Peach said, “I am delighted to join I-MED at such an important stage in its journey. The business is the leader in its field, with a strong clinical reputation, a clear strategy and a compelling growth outlook. Importantly, I see a strong alignment in values and culture with and a shared passion for embracing innovation and advancing healthcare to improve patient outcomes. Building upon the foundations established by George, I look forward to working closely with the Board and management team to support the company’s continued expansion and long-term value creation.”

George Savvides AM said, “It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of I-MED. The business has grown considerably, supported by its robust governance structures, and I am proud of what the Board and management team have achieved together. Zita is an outstanding appointment, bringing high-quality credentials, healthcare depth and leadership experience to lead this business into its next chapter.”

Board appointments

Alongside the appointment of Ms Peach, I-MED also announces the appointment of Dr Ronald Shnier MBBS, FRANZCR, as a Non-Executive Director.

Dr Shnier is a prominent Australian radiologist and healthcare leader and until recently has been I-MED’s Chief Medical Officer since 2017. In 2019, he joined the I-MED Board as an Executive Director and his move to a non-executive position forms part of an orderly succession, with Dr Luke Danaher appointed as I-MED’s Chief Medical Officer.

With the addition of Ms Peach and Dr Shnier, the I-MED Board of Directors increases to seven directors, including representatives from Permira. It is I-MED’s intention to appoint additional directors as the company continues to evaluate opportunities to broaden its capital structure.

Silvia Oteri, Partner & Head of Healthcare at Permira, added, “George has been a great partner to I-MED and us, supporting Shrey and the I-MED team in driving the company’s position as a leading, technology and AI-forward radiology provider. We are grateful for his leadership and look forward to his continued contribution during this transition. Looking ahead, we are delighted to welcome Zita into the role of Chair and Dr Shnier’s transition to a Non-Executive position. We look forward to leveraging their corporate and Board-level experience as I-MED prepares for an important next phase of growth.”
