About Dr Jui (Tim) Liu
Your profile: Dr Jui (Tim) Liu is a specialist in Nuclear medicine, PET imaging and diagnostic Ultrasound. He has practiced extensively across Sydney since 2015 and is currently a Nuclear medicine and PET Physician at Macquarie University Hospital, Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and the I-MED Radiology clinic in Campbelltown.
Dr Liu graduated from the University of Otago Medical School in New Zealand before completing his specialist training at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and Westmead Hospital. In recognition of his research, he was awarded the Australasian Association of Nuclear Medicine Specialists (AANMS) Best Registrar Research Award at the 2014 ANZSNM Annual Scientific Meeting for his work on ultra-low-dose stress-only cardiac MIBI imaging.
As a specialist affiliated with Macquarie University Hospital, Dr Liu is an active member of the Uro-Oncology Multidisciplinary Team and contributes to the care of patients with complex oncological conditions. He is also actively involved in clinical research investigating advanced PET imaging and emerging theranostic radiopharmaceuticals, including 18F Florbetaben amyloid PET, 18F-PI2620 Tau PET, 89Zirconium/177Lutetium-girentuximab, and 225Actinum-PSMA therapies.
