Dr Alasdair Robertson

Dr Alasdair Robertson is a neuro and musculoskeletal Radiologist with procedural skills in both specialities, including cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines. Dr Robertson has a subspecialty interest in the MRI of the peripheral nerves including ulnar nerve, posterior interosseous nerve (PIN), peroneal and sciatic nerves. This includes Piriformis syndrome as well as ulnar nerve entrapment and their management with corticosteroid and Botox, and thoracic outlet syndrome.

He has worked extensively in these fields in specialist-based practices for over 20 years including the management of many high-end amateur, Olympians and professional athletes across multiple sporting codes. These include soccer, NRL, rugby union, AFL, swimming, tennis, snow skiing and snowboarding.

Dr Robertson was attracted to I-MED Radiology due to its specialist-based imaging which enables him to continue with specialty and sub-specialty imaging and management, both of which have enormous positive impacts on his patients. Dr Robertson has fellowships in Neuroradiology from the German Cancer Research Centre (D.K.F.Z) and the KopfKlinik (Head Clinic) of the University of Heidelberg in Germany, and Musculoskeletal and Neuroradiology fellowships from Monash Medical Centre, Clayton.
