About Dr David Burrows

Dr David Burrows is a highly qualified Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist with extensive clinical experience across Australia, South Africa, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. He holds an MBChB from the University of Cape Town and multiple specialist fellowships, including FCRadDiag (SA), FRANZCR, and EBIR. He is also a member of several national and international radiology societies.

After completing medical school in 1998, Dr Burrows undertook his internship and early medical officer roles in South Africa before training as a specialist registrar in radiology. He later worked as a consultant radiologist in Ireland and the UK, before relocating to Australia, where he has continued to build a diverse and accomplished career.


Dr Burrows currently serves as a Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist at Cabrini Private Hospital in Melbourne. His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of interventional radiology procedures (excluding therapeutic interventional neuroradiology), and he is highly experienced in advanced diagnostic imaging modalities including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and mammography, with additional foundational knowledge in nuclear medicine.


He has led numerous multidisciplinary team meetings and was actively involved in registrar education and training at Northern Health, a major provider of acute and sub-acute services. Dr Burrows has also contributed to multiple publications and conference presentations, reflecting his ongoing commitment to clinical excellence and professional development.
