About Dr James Walters

Dr James Walters specialises in PET-CT and nuclear medicine and helped establish the PET service at the Wesley Hospital in 1999, the first PET imaging centre in Queensland. He has a wealth of experience in nuclear and molecular imaging, along with a broad knowledge of general radiology and was among the pioneers of interventional radiology during his time as a consultant at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He maintains an active interest in the teaching of technical and junior medical staff. Dr Walters’ association with the Wesley Hospital spans more than 30 years.
