Dr Madhav Nagarkar

Dr Nagarkar joined I-MED Radiology in July 2008 having come from Mumbai, India.

He did his MBBS and Specialist training in Radiology at the GMC and JJ Group of hospitals in Mumbai, one of India’s oldest and best known medical schools. Having qualified in 1988 he has many years of experience in a hospital based multimodality department, and community based imaging practice.

In 2011 he was admitted as a Fellow of RANZCR and is a member of the IFUMB and Indian College of Radiology and Imaging. His long term interests are in Paediatric Radiology, Ultrasound, Abdominal Imaging and guided procedures.

Newer applications of Imaging - like Multiparametric MRI for Prostate - have been the trust of his recent upskilling. He is keen to be able to use the latest abilities of technology to make a difference locally.

He is also currently involved with teaching for the UQ Rural Clinical School Medical Student groups who come to Rockhampton, on a regular basis.
