About Dr Raj Doolabh

Dr Doolabh graduated from the University of Zimbabwe Medical School in 1987 and subsequently specialised in Radiology at the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) attaining the FFRadD(SA) qualification in 1994. He later attained the FRCR qualification in the UK and the FRANZCR qualification in Australia.

He has been actively involved with RANZCR for several years, initially as the Secretary and then as the Chairperson of the Tasmanian Branch of RANZCR.

He has been employed at I-MED Radiology since 2008 where he has held several senior leadership roles including:

  • Clinical Director for the Hobart Campus
  • Fellowship and IMG supervisor
  • Chair of the regional Clinical Management Committee
  • Member of the I-med National Clinical Management Committee
  • Lead radiologist in the I-med RadX (IT innovations) program

Radiological Skills & Interests

  • Registered with the Conjoint Committee as a CTCA (cardiac CT) specialist
  • Accredited with RANZCR as a CTC (CT colonography) specialist
  • Fellowship trained in MRI of the prostate and spine
  • Advanced MRI – particularly neuro and MSK
  • Oncology imaging
  • US and CT interventional procedures
