About Dr Zubair Ali Khan

Dr Zubair Khan is a dual-qualified Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Physician. He completed his radiology training in Birmingham, United Kingdom and obtained his Nuclear Medicine qualifications from Oxford, United Kingdom.  

He is highly experienced in oncological imaging including hybrid imaging techniques, especially PET/CT and SPECT/CT. He also undertook a concise fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, specifically for beyond-FDG novel PET tracers in 2010.  

Dr Khan has been actively involved in cutting-edge clinical work, service development and research. He is well published and has been an invited speaker at various international and national conferences.  

While in the UK, he was honorary senior clinical lecturer at the University of Edinburgh and was clinical lead for Nuclear Medicine at University Hospitals, Edinburgh.   

Dr Khan was instrumental in setting up Scottish national Subtraction Ictal SPECT CO-registered to MRI (SISCOM) imaging for paediatric intractable epilepsy patients. He then spent five years at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Riyadh, and was an appointed examiner for Nuclear Medicine Fellowship examinations in King Saud bin Abdulaziz (KSA) University.  

Dr Khan joined I-MED Radiology in 2021 and works at Caboolture and St Andrews Private Hospital Ipswich sites.
