Supporting men’s health this Movember

It’s that time of the year when what’s under your nose can make a real difference to men’s health issues - all thanks to the much-loved fundraising campaign Movember!

Movember shines a light on three of the biggest health issues men face today: mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. Tackling these important issues in a creative and fun way, Movember is pivotal in its ability to spark conversation and action around men’s health; leading to outcomes that can help men live happier, healthier, and longer lives.

Introducing The I-MOs!

This year I-MED Radiology is excited to form a national ‘MO TEAM’ which we’ve affectionately called, The I-MOs. Doubling the impact and support of vital men’s health issues, I-MED Radiology will dollar match the total amount raised by the I-MOs.

Join us in supporting The I-MOs here.

Why we’re supporting Movember

Giving back to the community when there is an important need is a priority at I-MED Radiology. This is driven by one of our core values of compassion and our purpose, to save lives and reduce uncertainty.

Since 2003, the Movember community has funded the development of 54 inventions, 70 therapies and 107 diagnostic tests for prostate cancer. And that’s just the start…

Important men’s health resources

A prostate or testicular cancer diagnosis can induce significant anxiety for patients and their families. There are many effective treatments available today including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, surgery and androgen deprivation therapy.

As with many diseases, the best defence, and indicator of improved healthcare outcomes, is prevention and/or early detection.

Access the following high-quality online resources to learn more about prostate and testicular cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment.
