Dr Doolabh graduated from the University of Zimbabwe Medical School in 1987 and subsequently specialised in Radiology at the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) attaining the FFRadD(SA) qualification in 1994. He later attained the FRCR qualification in the UK and the FRANZCR qualification in Australia.

He has been actively involved with RANZCR for several years, initially as the Secretary and then as the Chairperson of the Tasmanian Branch of RANZCR.

He has been employed at I-MED Radiology since 2008 where he has held several senior leadership roles including:

• Clinical Director for the Hobart Campus
• Fellowship and IMG supervisor
• Chair of the regional Clinical Management Committee
• Member of the I-med National Clinical Management Committee
• Lead radiologist in the I-med RadX (IT innovations) program

• Registered with the Conjoint Committee as a CTCA (cardiac CT) specialist
• Accredited with RANZCR as a CTC (CT colonography) specialist
• Fellowship trained in MRI of the prostate and spine
• Advanced MRI – particularly neuro and MSK

• US and CT interventional procedures

Dr Howcroft is a general radiologist with special interests in musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, and image guided injections. He is also a registered CT coronary angiography specialist and reports for the National Lung Cancer Screening Program. 

Max graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Tasmania and undertook radiology training at the Royal Hobart Hospital and Perth Children’s Hospital, earning his RANZCR fellowship in 2024.

He further specialised with a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Calvary Hospital I-MED Tasmania in 2025.  

Max has been active in research at various stages, including winning the best research presentation at the state meeting when he was a trainee. He currently serves as the secretary for the Tasmanian Branch of RANZCR and was previously an elected member of the Trainee Committee.

Dr Shulman was born in South Africa and educated at the University of Cape Town. He moved to Australia in 1990 and undertook radiology training at the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle. Dr Shulman has worked with I-MED since its inception, first in Launceston for 10 years and the last 14 years in Hobart. He has been involved in governance over the years, being Clinical Director in Hobart and on the NCMC.

Dr Shulman enjoys spending time with my family, the outdoors, travelling and various sports.
