About Dr Gudrun Peters

Dr Peters was born in Germany and studied medicine at the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Germany.

During her registrar training at the University Halle-Wittenberg she completed breast imaging training in the breast imaging department of Professor Sylvia Heywang-Köbrunner in all breast imaging modalities including vacuum assisted biopsies, breast MRI and breast MRI biopsies.

Dr Peters passed her specialist exam in radiology in 2005 in Germany. She was admitted a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in 2013.

In 2005, Dr Peters moved to Australia and undertook a Research Fellowship in breast MRI at the University of Western Australia.

Dr Peters joined I-MED Radiology in January 2010.

Among her achievements in the breast imaging field, in 2008 Dr Peters was Convenor and Presenter at the first Australian Inaugural Practice Breast MRI Course held in Perth. Dr Peters was also invited to speak at the RANZCR Annual Scientific Meeting in 2010 and at the BreastScreen conference in 2011. She is author and co-author of more than 10 scientific publications in the field of breast imaging.
