About Dr Hari Sivaganabalan
After medical training in Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India, Dr Sivaganabalan specialized in Radiology in University of Malaya, inspired by witnessing the power of images relayed via satellite in helping treat patients while working in remote Borneo. He subspecialised in interventional radiology, believing the humble needle guided by imaging technology can be more precise, less invasive and cost effective in treating patients. He trained in a major transplant hospital in Selayang, Malaysia in 2011 with extensive exposure to Oncological and Hepatobiliary work. He also undertook fellowships in Royal Perth and Sir Charles Gairdner hospitals, with a focus on vascular intervention. The mountainous vistas and friendly faces in Gippsland remind him of his hill station hometown of Raub.
