Dr Himanshu Diwakar

Dr Himanshu Diwakar is a general radiologist specialising in interventional radiology, body imaging and abdominal imaging. He is the Clinical Director for I-MED Radiology in the ACT. Dr Himanshu Diwakar joined the I-MED Network in 2013.

He has significant experience in the field of interventional radiology, body imaging and abdominal imaging. He has a particular interest in abdominal imaging and non-vascular interventional radiology. He completed Radiology training in King Georges Medical University, India. Himanshu worked as a Senor Resident at the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi institute of Post Graduate, medical Sciences for three years.

Dr Diwakar trained in interventional Radiology at Singapore General Hospital in 2006. In 2008 he moved to Canada working at St Joseph's Healthcare, McMaster University as a body imaging fellow. Subsequently he moved to Vancouver General Hospital in 2009 for abdominal injury fellowship. He has accredited CT Coronary Angiography and CT Colonography. He has special interest in prostate, hepatobiliary and renal imaging. He also holds interest in MSK and spinal intervention.

Dr Diwakar is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
