About Dr Simon Edelstein

Dr Simon Edelstein graduated in Medicine with honors from Monash University in 1993.

Dr Edelstein trained in radiology at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in 2001, following which he commenced advanced training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He completed Fellowships in Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology, Head & Neck Radiology, Advanced Clinical Neuroimaging and Body Interventional Radiology. His supervisors included world leaders in their field - Professors Burton Drayer, Thomas Naidich, Peter Som and Aman Patel. Dr Simon Edelstein returned to Melbourne in late 2003 working at I-MED Victoria and then returned to Mount Sinai in 2005 for further training, and to obtain the American Radiology Board exams. 

Dr Edelstein has exceptional breadth of knowledge in all facets of Neuro, Spine, Head & Neck Radiology. His Neuro Interventional interests are primarily applicable in the tertiary hospital setting, but he has considerable experience in Interventional pain management techniques. He also has extensive experience in Body Interventional procedures, particularly Endovascular, Vascular access and Uro Radiologic procedures.
