Quantitative Brain MRI with SNAC iQ-solutions™

I-MED expands quantitative neuroimaging capabilities with quantitative MRI reporting for neurological disease management
I-MED Radiology is strengthening its neuroimaging capability with the introduction of quantitative brain MRI reporting using the SNAC iQ-solutions™ platform1. These tools help to support detailed reporting and complement the assessment and longitudinal monitoring of neurological conditions, including multiple sclerosis and cognitive dysfunction in the setting of neurodegenerative disease and related conditions.
Available across more than 100 I-MED MRI clinics nationally, the technology provides quantitative analysis alongside standard radiologist interpretation, offering clinicians additional metrics to support diagnosis, treatment planning and follow-up care.
SNAC’s iQ-solutions™ is a medical imaging software platform listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods, ARTG 456068. It is intended for automatic annotation, visualisation and quantification of segmentable brain structures from brain MRI scans, including cross-sectional structure segmentation and volume analysis, and longitudinal volume change analysis where compatible prior imaging is available. Outputs are provided as an adjunct to radiologist interpretation and should be considered within the broader clinical context.
iQ-MS™
iQ-MS provides quantification of white matter lesion burden, normalised volumetric analysis of the brain, and longitudinal tracking of disease progression using prior images. This data can support the consistent monitoring of disease activity and treatment response.
iQ-COG™
iQ-COG provides volumetric MRI analysis, including measurement of regional brain volumes and comparison against age-matched normative data. These findings can assist clinicians in interpreting atrophy patterns and provide metrics to assist in clinical decision-making.
Quantitative outputs from both iQ-MS and iQ-COG provide objective, reproducible metrics to support standardised longitudinal comparison. A consistent imaging environment may help minimise technical variables when comparing scans taken at different points in time.
I-MED Chief Medical Officer, Dr Luke Danaher said:
"At I-MED, we prioritise high-quality diagnostic imaging driven by evidence-based innovation. The integration of SNAC’s iQ-solutions™ platform across our network strengthens our capability to deliver quantitative brain MRI insights to referrers and patients. These tools support clinical decision-making and contribute meaningful value to the ongoing management of neurological conditions.”
Referrers can request a standard brain MRI with relevant clinical indications. Quantitative reports may be generated when referrals include indications such as MS, demyelination, cognitive decline, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, Parkinsonian syndromes or atypical neurological presentations.
By integrating advanced quantitative analysis with I-MED’s sub-specialist radiologist expertise, this platform provides objective metrics to assist in the assessment and longitudinal monitoring of disease, helping clinicians make informed decisions when they need answers.
