Revolutionising patient pain assessment
I-MED Radiology is actively listening to our patient’s pain concerns and can measure and track their pain levels via series of automated visual pain score messages.
Understanding the Patient Pain Score
The Patient Pain Score is a text-driven survey that empowers patients to record and monitor their pain levels both before and after an interventional pain procedure. This valuable tool enables patients, I-MED Radiologists, and referring practitioners to quantitatively assess the effectiveness of the treatment, enhancing patient outcomes. It also facilitates the customisation of pain management strategies and continuous monitoring of treatment effectiveness.
How it works
After their pain procedure, patients will receive a series of text messages to collect pain ratings at various timepoints and advise when the final report is ready.
Text Message 1
Sent within 24 hours of the pain procedure, the patient is sent a survey link and is asked to provide their pain score at two time points: pre-treatment and one day after the procedure.
Text Message 2
Sent 7 days post-procedure, the patient is sent a survey link and is asked to input their final post-treatment pain score.
Text Message 3
Sent once the patients three pain scores have been consolidated into a report. The message will contain a link for patients to access their My I-MED results portal, where a PDF of their pain score report can be found.
Benefits for patients
- Patients can be more involved in their own care at each stage of the diagnostic and treatment journey.
- Patients can observe the concrete advantages of their procedures through reduced pain scores.
- Patients can continuously monitor their responses to various treatments.
- Patients can maintain a single repository of their past pain scores which can facilitate future care.
