View your images (patient access)

View, download and share your I-MED images and reports from your mobile phone. Currently available in selected ACT, NSW, QLD and VIC clinics only.

A convenient and simple new system

You can now access your radiology results from your mobile phone, safely and securely. Bonus, you don’t need to set up an account or remember log-in details.
Our new patient results system offers you the freedom to access your medical records as needed. If you are planning to visit new health practitioners, you have the ability to share your results with these providers, without contacting your local I-MED clinic to request copies. It is also a more environmentally friendly approach as it eliminates needing to print film/disks and paper reports.

How it works

After you've had a scan

  1. I-MED will send you a link, via text message, so you can view your images online (expect this within 48 hours after your scan)
  2. Click this link and follow the security steps to verify your identity by entering your date of birth
  3. Then enter the one-time password to unlock your access (I-MED will send it via text message)
  4. The menu page will now appear and you will be able to view your images (the report is not yet available), download and share your results with friends or other doctors/health practitioners
  5. In the meantime, I-MED will send your results to the health practitioner who referred your scan
  6. You will be notified by text message to confirm when your results have been sent - make sure you schedule a follow-up appointment to discuss your results and follow-up care
  7. Five (5) days after your results were sent to your referring health practitioner, you will be able to view your report online, using the same link sent in step 1

Access older results

Use the 'View my images' button on this page to look-up your existing images and reports. You will first be required to enter your full name, date of birth, mobile number and one-time password (sent to your mobile during this authentication process) to validate your identity. These details must match the records within your I-MED patient file.

Note, this is only available for scans/procedures that were performed in selected ACT, NSW, QLD and VIC clinics. Records from before 1 January 2020 will not be available using this method. Please contact your local I-MED clinic here to request a copy, or for help if needed.

Important

  • I-MED will need to have your correct mobile number and date of birth entered in the system for you to access your images and report with this system. Please check with your local I-MED clinic to confirm that this information is recorded accurately.
  • When you are notified by SMS text, that your images are ready to view, this does not mean that your doctor has received the final report/results. Your results will be sent to your referring health practitioner when they are ready, please arrange a follow-up appointment with your referring doctor, once they have been sent, so you can understand what the results mean and receive any necessary treatment.

What happens after my scan? keyboard_arrow_down

Within 48 hour period after your scan, you will receive a text message from I-MED to notify you that your images are available. This message will include an online link for you to access the image/s.

What do I do when I get the text message to view my images? keyboard_arrow_down

Simply click the online link you are sent in the text message.

We’ve added additional security features, to ensure that your medical information is only accessed by you. So, once you have clicked on the link, you will be asked to:

  1. Enter your date of birth (this will be the date of birth that we currently have in your patient file, so make sure we have your accurate information).
  2. Verify you are the patient in question through the use of a one-time-password.

Note: This password will be sent to your mobile number (the mobile number that we currently have in your patient file) for you to enter and validate your identity.

What happens if I don’t get the text message? keyboard_arrow_down

The text message will be sent to the mobile number that we currently have in your patient file, so make sure we have your most up-to-date information.

You will need to have adequate mobile reception in order to receive this text message.

If, after 48 hours, you have not received your text message, please contact the clinic where you had your imaging performed.

What happens if the date of birth validation won’t work? keyboard_arrow_down

We validate your identity using the date of birth that we currently have on record for you.

If you receive an error message, please contact the clinic where you had your appointment, to make sure your date of birth is accurate.

If changes need to be made to your date of birth in the system, please be patient as it may take some time for the data to synchronise and for your updated date of birth to be reflected.

What happens if I don’t receive the one-time-password? keyboard_arrow_down

You need to be in an area with suitable mobile coverage in order to receive the one-time password.

Make sure to wait a reasonable amount of time before requesting the resend of the one-time password.

If you do not receive your one-time-password, or you enter the incorrect password too many times, please contact the clinic where you had your appointment.

When can I access my report? keyboard_arrow_down

Your report will be available to view five (5) days after it has been sent to the health practitioner/doctor, who originally requested your scan.
