I-MED Radiology implements DOSE for radiation dose management
A software solution optimising how we monitor, evaluate, and report radiation doses – reinforcing our commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.
I-MED Radiology has implemented the DOSE radiation management software solution in CT scanners across our Network. This innovative software is designed to optimise how we monitor, evaluate and report radiation doses - reinforcing our commitment to patient safety, data accuracy and clinical excellence. I-MED is proud to be the first to adopt Qaelum’s cutting-edge technology, DOSE, in the Australasian region.
What does DOSE do?
DOSE serves as a powerful tool that collates and facilitates the analysis of structured dose reports from various modalities using radiation. It allows us to efficiently monitor radiation doses, ensuring patient safety and adherence to rigorous quality standards. The DOSE software is now available on I-MED's fleet of 176 CT scanners throughout the network.
DOSE in action
DOSE is actively being used to monitor various aspects of our imaging processes with real-time monitoring for all connected CT scanners.
DOSE enables I-MED to monitor, review and where possible, optimise the radiation dose for patients.
- Real-time email alerts highlight outliers, initiating clinical review process within 48 business hours.
- Collaborative efforts with vendors ensure optimal low-dose protocols without compromising image quality.
- Dedicated focus on reducing patient radiation doses through continuous improvements and educational initiatives.
- DOSE data aids radiographers in optimising scanning techniques, contributing to enhanced clinical outcomes.
