Patients can book their radiology appointments online for most examinations, and view/download/share their results using their mobile phone. This provides the patient with greater access and control of their healthcare journey at multiple stages.
An integrated radiology journey
e-Referrals and the critical role of the referrer
e-Referrals accelerate the transfer of information from the practitioner to I-MED Radiology. Lost paper referrals are no longer the cause of delays in clinical care, thereby preventing conditions from worsening.
When a referrer sends an e-Referral to I-MED Radiology, their patient receives a text message alert shortly after, containing a link to I-MED's online booking platform*. This prompt enables the patient to take immediate action and can result in improved timeliness for the clinical investigation (scan) and patient/practitioner follow-up.
e-Referrals can be sent in the following ways:
1. Via your Practice Management Software (currently available for Best Practice and Medical Director only). Learn more about this option, and arrange a time with a representative to install e-Referrals in your practice here.
2. Within I-MED Online**, our bespoke image/report viewing platform. There is no need to install software; practitioners simply need to create an account and can then complete the 4-step e-Referral form. With the latest upgrade to I-MED Online, e-Referrals are faster to complete as it will pre-populate known patient and referrer details.
