Cellular Matrix Injections

As leaders in musculoskeletal imaging, I-MED Radiology Victoria House is pleased to offer Cellular Matrix Injections, a non-invasive, therapeutic option for patients managing joint degeneration and pain.

What is a Cellular Matrix Injection?

Cellular Matrix Injections are a non-invasive, therapeutic option for patients managing joint degeneration and pain.

Cellular Matrix combines Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) with Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in a single treatment. A choice between PRP or HA is no longer required with this single injection.

How do I prepare for a joint injection? keyboard_arrow_down

No special preparation is required before a joint injection and you may eat and drink as normal. If you are taking blood thinners you must tell the receptionist when making your booking. This will allow the radiologist to assess whether it is safe to do the injection.

On the day of your appointment, please bring any previous x-rays, ultrasound, CT or MRI scans taken as part of your joint pain history. Please also tell the radiologist if you are allergic to any medications.

It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing with easy access to the joint being injected.

What are the benefits of Cellular Matrix Injections? keyboard_arrow_down

The combination of Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) with Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in a single treatment aims to improve mobility and structural integrity via the lubricating effect of Hyaluronic Acid, provide significant symptomatic relief through biological modulation of platelets and offer a viable conservative management bridge to postpone or avoid surgical intervention, such as joint replacement.
