Worried about feeling claustrophobic in an MRI scan?
Remember that you're not alone—many people feel anxious about MRI scans. But knowing what to expect and how to manage these feelings can make the experience more comfortable. Our teams are trained to support you in every way at every step of the process. Strategies to help you feel more at ease can include: talking you through the procedure step by step, offering earplugs or headphones to minimise the noise, playing music you find relaxing, bringing a carer into the room, breathing exercises, and more.
